Areas of Use

Trauma

Bleeding control and uncontrolled hemorrhage from Road Accidents, Gun shot wounds, stab wounds, Knife Injuries and blast injuries.

Trauma is a life threatening injury or event that causes serious injury to the body. Trauma centers throughout the country, whether Level I or Level IV, are required to maintain surgically directed critical care services to treat these life threatening injuries.

When it comes to bleeding control, uncontrolled hemorrhage from gun shot wounds, stab wounds and blast injuries can lead to death within minutes. In an environment where every minute counts in an effort to reduce blood loss and save lives, our advanced haemostatic agents can help maintain rapid control of bleeding. Our proprietary granule technology has even been proven effective in the presence of common anticoagulants.

Emergency Room

Emergency physicians face the unique challenge of treating a diverse patient population whose individual care requires a vast breadth of knowledge across the spectrum of emergency medicine.

The specific wounds vary considerably as do the patient characteristics with many patients using anticoagulant drugs. For patients having variety of bleeding wounds and varying degrees of severity it becomes a big challenge in terms of achieving haemostasis.

SURESTAT® is a topical temporary external haemostat that helps rapidly and safely stops bleeding. It is effective for patients using common anticoagulant drugs (Millner, 2010, Koksal, 2011 & Data on file). Rapid haemostasis may allow for shorter patient length of stay and better management of valuable staff resources by reducing blood loss and any associated risks.

First Responders

First Responders, which include Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and paramedics are typically among the first to arrive on scene when a major accident, catastrophe, like a natural disaster, riot, or act of terror and other situations occurs.

These situations often result in life-critical situations that require medical attention. First responders can also include, nurses, other healthcare workers or emergency physicians. Their job is essential, and they may only have seconds to stabilize a critical victim.

SURESTAT® is designed and produce to save lives and control haemostasis when its critical on the battlefield. Our proven technology is now also available to first responders to help them stop bleeding when every minute counts.
